Merry Christmas! Happy Agnostica!Today is December 14, 2004. Happy Agnostica! I've been enjoying the annual jpegs, webpages, and presentations that many of you send this time of year, and its high time I reciprocate. Since I've gone and declared myself a math major at Old Dominion University, I've decided to something vaguely mathmatical. Very vaguely. I began noodling this one about this time last year, it was presented in Richard Gill's Calculus 2 course in Spring 2004 at Tidewater Community College. Yes, calculus is much more fun when there's less than ten people in the class. Some of you have seen this before, I apologize. But It gives me another year to come up with something new. Considering I'm looking at 3 (count 'em!) servings of math next semester, I'm sure something will come up. Pray for me. I suggest you look at this in "notes" view, so there's a little commentary to go with the slides, or I'm sure it will make absolutely no sense at all. If you have trouble with the download or can't deal with Powerpoint, drop me an email and I'll put it in some other format. If this manages to find its way back to John "5 Facts Of Life" Gishe, who would be about 55 years old now, that would be pretty cool. The Scarecrow's Conjecture!Or, The Isoceles Right Triangle of Oz(4491 KB PowerPoint)Right click, save as, you know the drill by now.... Repair uploaded 5/2005, ping me if it still doesn't work
It's been a good year. See you soon. Rogue |
